Would my daughter be covered if

our daughter moved out a month ago and she is on our policy still. if we take her off would she still be covered if she was to drive our car occasionally?
Occassional Driver
Hi Jan,
Your insurer should be willing to take her off your policy if she no longer lives there. Especially if she has coverage elsewhere. In Ontario, you can lend your car to any licensed driver and they are covered. But you are liable.
If your daughter does not have her own policy, it might be best for her to stay on your policy until she does. That way there are no gaps in coverage when it comes time for her to buy insurance. Talk it over with your insurance company if you call to take her off the policy.
Hope that helps!
