we are looking into buying an older home (1950's) which has older wiring and receptacles all show open ground when tested. Is this going to be a problem for an insurance? If you get a policy it will be 3-5 times more expensive due to the wiring. And the coverage will not be as good. If you buy the house, you will want to address this problem.
