Why is my car insurance $600.00 for a 1983 car.

Received my g licence in winnipeg while studing there. Went back home to another country. return to canada and was told i had to do it over again. I did in 1992 receive g2 --never knew that in ontario I had to complete the the g again although it's all done at the same time in Winnipeg. Had to do the g2 all over again. Now I just have a g2 My question is if I complete my g licence will my car insurance be any cheaper?
