why do i have to obtain commercial car insurance policy?
by Kim
(Cambridge Ontario)
We are a household of one car with 4 drivers.
My husband is the primary driver, I am the secondary driver and my two children (24 years old--G licence, 21 year old--G2 licence)...may drive occasionally.
I use the car to get to work which is 5km away in my hometown and for errands.
Both kids use the bus to get to their jobs and university.
Why am I being put onto a "commercial" policy because they told me it's considered like a "business" with so many drivers.
We do not own a business at all.
Thanks for any info.

Commercial Policy - No Commercial Use
Hi Kim
That makes no sense whatsoever. If the car is not being used commercially, then there is no need for commercial coverage. All in my opinion of course...
