Two cars/the same primary driver on both?

I am considering a second vehicle to be used only if my primary vehicle is being used and my 17 year old needs to get to work (we live in the country). Can I have myself on two cars as a primary driver to try and avoid the high cost of insuring a teen?

Your teen needs to be listed on a policy. If there are just the two of you, and there are two vehicles, (s)he'll be listed as the primary on one of them.
