Two cars in the family by two separate owners
by Mary D
(Ontario, Canada)
A husband has an auto that is insured and then his wife buys her own car. How best to insure her auto? Can she be added to her husband's even though he is not the actual owner or the registered owner OR does the wife need to have her own separate policy? If she can get her husband to insure hers under his policy, the premium may be cheaper. Thank you in advance a

Hi Mary
Your husband's insurer should let him add you and your car to his policy. Or they should give you your own policy but give each of you the multi vehicle discount.
Hope that helps!
