Time Line for Home Visit to do an "Inspection"?

My insurance company is insisting on a home visit to do an inspection to make sure we have enough coverage. First time they've done this in 20 years. We are in the middle of renovations. I want to wait until renos are complete. They insist on doing it now as outlined by the Canadian Insurance Bureau. I can't find any info that states this. Do I have time to finish renos or do I need to let them in the door now?

Your home insurer might cancel your policy if you don't let them in by a deadline that they will set. The reason for this is that insurers are finding that in many cases long time clients are under insured which leads to problems when there is a claim.
