Hi am a medical student and I'm going on a 4 month educational seminal in Ohio. I'm planning of taking my Ontario plated car with me. Will my ontario car insurance cover me during my stay in the US? Driving Car in USPlease discuss this with your insurance company. In general, if you are in the US your insurer should offer the same coverage as your policy in Canada. And I am not aware of a specific time limit. I strongly recommend a review of your coverage and situation with your insurer as each insurer may treat certain situations differently.
