Remarried Couple
by Scott
(Ontario)
I recently got remarried. Her car and insurance is in her name and my car and insurance is in my name. Since both vehicles are legally covered is there any requirement for her to be listed on my policy and for me to listed on her policy.
Remarried and Auto Insurance
Hi Scott,
Congratulations on your marriage!
Both insurers will want to know this information and document who the other driver in the house is. It might be wise to take this opportunity to see if you can combine your policies into one. This is generally the most cost effective option.
Hope that helps!
