reinstatement of insurance

I have missed a payment on my insurance, I have received a letter stating that I have to pay before a certain date or insurance will be canceled. I did pay the amount requested and my insurance is now reinstated. My question is when I want to look for a cheaper rate at the end of my contract with a different company, will this effect the rate of my insurance?
Insurance Cancellation and Reinstatement
Hi Angela, If you were without coverage it could have an impact as you will have a non payment on record. But if your coverage did not lapse you'll be fine. It sounds like your coverage was never canceled so it's good.
Hope that helps
