racoons damaged our roof

We live in an area overrun by racoons and possums.Our roof was less than 10 years old when we bought this house, now the one side of our house in badly needed repairs.We had a quote from a roofer, he found feces up on our roof and believes animals tore them off.The neighbor beside me has the same problem, the put a hole in their roof and were living in their attic.Are damages done by wildlife covered by insurance ??

Racoons are capable of doing a lot of damage. Many policies exclude "damage by rodents" and some consider a racoon a rodent. So it depends entirely on your policy wordings.
