Primary to occasional driver complication

by CD
(Ontario)

Hi,

I was involved in a at fault accident. I was the primary driver on my truck. I live at home with my Mom and brother. I have sold my truck and there are now 2 cars and 3 drivers. My Insurance company will not put me as an occasional driver on the second vehicle, and my brother as the primary. They insist that they only way they will transfer my insurance is if I'm the primary.

Is this legal? Is there anything I can say or do?

Thanks.

Primary Driver After At Fault Accident

Hi There
This is a common practice among Ontario Auto insurers .... putting the "worst" driver as the primary driver. If they insist on this, your best option is to shop around to see if you can get better rates / ratings elsewhere.
