Primary Driver Insurance Denied for a G2 Driver?

I was given a call from State Farm and everything went well up until the insurance broker asked me what level licence I held, I told her G2 along with other information she acquired. My DOB, drivers licence number, and if the vehicle was under my name and eventually my age just to double check, I am currently 17, 18 in a week. am I not qualified for insurance coverage?
