I must leave this depressed Area to find work and will be commuting back an forth.I will be a part time dweller can I still get house insurance when Im gone. Do I need a person checking an documenting on the house daily while Im gone.

House is in Ontario,Canada.

You must inform your insurer that the house will be empty and for how long. Even if you were just going away for a week or two, you would need someone to check on the house every day or so. But if you are gone for weeks at a time your home will be classed as "vacant" and special rules apply
