Parked car

Hello,
I have my car parked in my driveway for winter. Do I need to have it insured in any type of way, in Ontario?
Parked car and Insurance
Hi Junior
If you drive the car, it must be insured. But if you park it, you can drop the coverage.
There are a couple of problems with that. First, you won't have any coverage (including theft, fire, etc). Second, if you have a gap in your insurance coverage, your rates might be higher next time you purchase coverage.
