Can we have a park parked in drive way with just a minimal insurance. do not want to sell just park it for a while

You should be ask your insurer if you can cover the car for "Fire and Theft only" while it is parked. keep in mind that there would be no coverage if you drove the car.
Many insurers will only offer this if they are also insuring another vehicle that is "on the road". But it never hurts to ask!
