parents own three cars, i may drive one occasionally

my parents currently own two cars, i believe they are listed as my mom as primary on one and my dad as leisure on the other,
they are planning on buying another (3rd)vehicle. I am currently uninsured and may be driving this additional vehicle up to once every two weeks, otherwise i use public transit.
can they add me to their policy as a casual driver? or named driver?
i am 33yrs old, donot live with my parents, and haven't been on an insurance policy in several years, i was involved in an accident while driving a friends car i borrowed in Jan 2010.
can this be done? will it raise there policy substantially?
Listed on parent's policy?
It's up to your parents and their insurer. But it should be possible. It will cost your parents extra for sure, probably quite a bit if your accident was at fault.
Be careful that no one misrepresents themselves to the insurance company. Tell the whole truth.
