outrageous insurance rates
by James
(Sudbury, Ontario)
I was pulled over and charged with driving while under suspension and thus dropped from my insurance company as of the end of my term. I have been shopping different companies since and am getting quotes in the $450 to $800 per month range, which are completely out of my financial reach, and since I drive a brand new car I am required to have full coverage. What are my options?
Shopping Around - High Rates
Hi James
The insurers view you as a high risk because you were willing to disregard the law by driving with a suspended license. The best you can do is shop around aggressively.
