Off highway use of a vehicle

I enrolled in an advanced driver education course given by an automobile club and held at a closed circuit racecourse. Would my vehicle be insured if it was damaged due to a mishap.
Answer re: Driver Education Course
Hi Diane,
If the automobile club is offering an accredited course then your insurer would probably cover a claim that would normally be covered under your policy.
I do have some cause for concern because I know the Ontario Auto Policy has an exclusion for racing on a closed circuit race track. I know you are not racing ...
If I were you I would call the insurer to advise them of what you are doing. Then you know for sure.
