Occasionally, I drive my boyfriend's car. We don't live together. I own my car and have insurance for it. he owns his car and has insurance for it. We generally don't drive eachother's cars but there are occasions where this happens.
Should I put him on my policy? If he got in an accident while driving my car, or vice versa, would we be covered? Or does his insurance cover him while he's driving my car; and my insurance cover me while I'm driving his car? Or should we add eachother on eachother's policies?

If it is just a rare occassion and you don't live with each other, most insurers would not need you to list each other. Just keep in mind, that when you lend your car, you lend your insurance.
