not on the insurance yet.. just wondering

i have just received my g2 licence, i am 17 years old.
i have not yet been put onto the insurance yet, so i was just wondering, what would happen if i were to drive the car without being on the insurance, and get pulled over, or get into an accident ?

You are supposed to be listed on the insurance policy. Otherwise you are risking having a claim denied for misrepresentation.
