No Insurance Of My Own
(Ontario)
My friend's auto insurance is not up for renewal until August 2011. Back in February (2011) he received a DUI and was completely discharged except that he cannot drive until February or May of 2012.
I have a driver's license but I do not have car insurance because I do not own a car. Can I drive my friend on occasion to his work and back, using his car? Does his car insurance cover me as an occasional driver, even though he is suspended?
Driving Friends Car
Hi there, this is one where he really should check with his insurer. He should try to list you on his policy as an occasional driver.
