neighbour hits fence in snow

My neighbours kid drove into my fence during a period of snow. I found the post broken when I came home from work.I spoke to the neighbour, who is not a nice person, that is why I have a fence. The fence is on my property and 20 feet from the road. How do I get the neighbour to fix my fence? Do I have to go through my home insurance or can I take them to small claims court if they refuse to pay for the repair? Neighbour Hit FenceHi There, This is covered by your home insurance, subject to a deductible. It is also covered by your neighbours auto insurance. Can you prove the neighbour did it? Is there a police report or other evidence? That would help if you went to small claims court. That is probably where you will end up if the neighbour won't cover it.
