My car was hit

Someone hit my car in my parking garage. They did leave a note. If he claims it on his insurance will it affect my rates etc.

Ontario Auto Insurance - Hit in Parking Garage

Hi MJ
If you have spoken with this person, and they have admitted fault, then a claim should not affect your rates when this goes through insurance. Unless, of course, you are omitting information like being illegally parked.

Hope that helps!

You dont get a ratable accideent when its not your fault, thats not fair at all. You also dont get rated for Comprehensive claims, as they are also not your fault. Claim it, only the person at fault is rated. Do do this guy any favours.
