multiple drivers

by Jit
(Toronto,Ontario,Canada)

Hi,
I live in Ontario and I have joint family. there are two cars in our family. I own honda civic and my brother owns honda odyssey. my father and sister in law has driving licence.
Do I need to add my father, brother and sister in law in my insurance policy because we are living under same address? My brother has his own auto insurance policy and father, sister in law are listed as a secondary drivers on his policy.

Hi Jit,
Many Insurers will not force you to add your father, brother, and sister in law to your policy in a situation like this. You may need to show that they are covered elsewhere. If your insurer won't let you do this try getting quotes here:
