Moving within Ontario

I am moving once I retire, but haven't decided where to make my home base. It will be within Ontario. Where is the cheapest area to live in for car insurance rates? I am 56 year old female, been driving 35 years, no accidents or tickets.

The highest rates tend to be in Toronto. Outside of the GTA there are a lot of lower rated areas, usually in less "congested" areas. It is easiest to say where the rates are highest. Try shopping for quotes using different areas as the base quote:
