Living in Quebec and planning to move permanently to Ontario.

Living in Quebec and planning to move permanently to Ontario.I had a DUI in 2006 provincial court and a second DUI early 2007 in a federal court. I was just stopped close to home for impaired driving(over the legal limit),no accidents.Have had over 350 months driving experience without any offenses or accidents before my D UI's. I was allowed to drive with an alcometer which I have done for 4 years now, I also successfully completed my mandatory 6 month assessment period and I do not drink at all anymore since my second Dui yet I have 2 years to still drive with an alcometer as per Quebec Law. I intend to move to Ontario to live there permanently and wanted to know if I still had to drive 2 years in Ontario with an alcometer? Will I also be needing a new Ontario, license plate on my car as well as a new drivers license and insurance?
Many Thanks,
James
Moving to Ontario with DUI on Record
Hi James
You will need an Ontario drivers license, vehicle registration and insurance. It will be up to the MTO (Ministry of Transportation) about the alcometer. I would guess that they will want it if you are under a court order. It might be wise to check with the MTO before coming here.
