licenced but uninsured driver driving uninsured car

My car was left at my daughter's in order for it to be repaired by boyfriend. There was no insurance on the vehicle and without permission he and a friend took the car, drove it and subsequently was stopped by an officer. The friend was licensed but I think he had only a G2 and was not himself insured. I was informed of this when an officer appeared at my door 6 days later. I have not been officially charged yet. Will I be and what affect will this have on my driver's record? What would be my options in a situation like this?

Car Driven Without Permission


If you don't get a ticket and there was no accident, your rates should be unaffected. Consider yourself lucky that they didn't have an accident. Have you considered pressing charges against them?
