Lapsed due to underwriting reasons ??

I've been living in a older home since 2005 I changed home insurance 2 yrs ago with (The Personal) insurance Cie they were offering a greater price for premium. Last summer I had pluming issue and my crawl space was flooded. The insurance replaced my hot water tank and my furnace (Natural gas). A civilian engeneer was called in to inspect the foundation around to see is there was any danger as far as the foundation itself was concerned, and if there was an issue what could be done to rectify the problem.

Instead of giving me an update the insurance Cie gave me a letter telling me that they were not renewing my property insurance. Now the work to rectify the foundation have not been done, aren't they suppose to correct everything first ? if they are not renewing does it mean that my follow up on my only claim will be terminated as well ?

Cancelled Due to Foundation Inspection

Hi Gerry,
Sorry for the delay ... if the damage to the foundation was because of the covered water claim, they should have fixed the foundation as well. This all depends on your policy wordings. If you didn't get this resolved to your satisfaction, please get legal advice on what to do (hope you already did!)
