Is it legal to carry a photo copy of the insurance in the vehicle?

It's supposed to be the original pink slip. The insures give you two so you can keep one in the car and have an extra at home just in case. They should be willing to send you another if you lost them or something.
If you get pulled over, the officer might let you get away without the proper slip, but I wouldn't bet on it.
