Insurance on cars

Hi,
I currently have a car which I would like to park for Winter and am thinking of purchasing another used car to drive through the winter months.
I have a valid drivers licence and insurance, can I park one car, remove the insurance for 6 months, obtain insurance on the second car for only 6 months or do I have to have both cars insured though I am only driving one.

Hi Rosie, the easier option is to park one car for 6 months and reduce the coverage to fire and theft only (which might only be $10/month or so). Please be sure to discuss this further with a licensed insurance representative. Oh, and by the way, are your rates too high? Check here:
