Insurance in BC but Ontario License

I have insurance for my car in BC but I still have an Ontairo licence....I have been trying to get it switched for two years but somehow there is always a problem....... I have been paying BC insurance for the past two years. Recently I got in a fender bender and now ICBC is saying that my insurance is void because I haven't switched my drivers license to BC but I have made several attempts through them.....what is going to happen??? Accident in BC, Ontario LicenseHi Evelyn, This is a tough one. On one level you are right, why did they insure you if they knew you were not licensed in BC? On the other hand, that is your responsibility... People move provinces all the time and the change of license is usually pretty easy. There is obviously way more to the story here. You should strongly consider getting legal advice. Especially since there is a chance of bodily injury. Please be sure to discuss this further with a licensed insurance representative.
