Insurance claim

Hi,
we moved into our new house Jan 22, 2010...
upon moving in there was a flood, previous owner had turned off heat?, anyway insurance came in we replaced the new furnace and all the flooring downstairs.
replacement of the furnance was 12K which we paid and we took a cash out for the flooring.
about a month ago, I received a call from the company who was hired by the insurance company to clean up... they sent me a bill for $5000 in regards to the furnance.
I have a meeting with the furnace company and the cleaning co on monday, but I would just like to know where I stand.
Insurance Claim Question
Hi Jill
There's too much I don't know. Like when actually you took possession, if the house was vacant while you had possession, what the cause of the flood was, if you had sewer back up coverage.
Sorry. Can't be of help here.
