Hello,

I was recently (20 days before renewal) informed I am being denied auto insurance renewal.
we are family of 5 adults and 3 cars, all G and older than 20, 1st daughter had 1 accident in 2008 in fault, 2 speeding ticket in 2009 and 2010, 2nd daughter had an accident (not in fault) with totaled car.
1) is there any way to postpone this to next year?
2) shouldn't insurance company inform me earlier? what is the rule?

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
epa

Non Renewed Policy

Hi there,
Sorry to hear this. The notice you were given sounds normal. There is no way to postpone this unless the non renewal is a mistake (eg not supported by their stated risk selection rules). Chances are it is not a mistake and you will need to shop around quite a bit to get affordable rates.

Please be sure to discuss this further with a licensed insurance representative. Oh, and by the way, are your rates too high? Check here:
