I have my g2 license in Ontario. Do i need insurance?

by Tyler
(London, Ontario)

Hi, I live in London Ontario and just got my G2. Do I need to get insurance now?

Insurance for G2 license in London Ontario

Hi Tyler, no matter where you live in Ontario the auto insurance rules are the same.

If you own a vehicle you must insure it in order to drive it.

If you live with your parents and they own vehicles they are supposed to add you to their policy now that you have your G2. The same can be said for anyone that you live with (i.e. a girlfriend, spouse, family, etc)

It is expensive to insure newly licensed drivers so it is a good idea to shop around for your auto insurance in Ontario. Check out car insurance in London Ontario for information on shopping around.
