how long does dui conviction reflect on ontario drivers abstract

I was charged with driving while disqualified and imposed an Interlock until Nov 2011. My rates have skyrocketed as i checked.
I am planning to wait 2 more years(until Jan 2014) and then apply for insurance on my name. Will my rates be any different since i would have had no infraction on my license.....Please advice

When I was in the business, I recall seeing a case like this where 7 or 8 years later it was still an issue for the driver.
