Hot Tub leaked into Basement
(Ontario Canada)
I own a hot tub which is located outside of my house. We drained the hot tub but because the ground was still frozen, the water ran directly into the basement. We weren't aware of this until a few days later when we went down there and discovered that the carpets were saturated.
Will my home insurance cover the cost of replacing the carpet in the basement?

This will probably not be covered. That said some comprehensive policies would cover it. So you will have to check your policy wordings carefully.
Sorry, this one depends entirely on your policy
