Group Insurance Discount (still applied but no longer with group)
by Jamie
(Toronto)
I am receiving a group insurance discount for car insurance that I no longer work for. I had an accident a few years ago and all benefits were paid out fine. My insurance company has never asked for my company name or information. I just found this out a few days ago.
If I ever had a big accident would the insurance company look for a loophole to deny the claim?
Group Insurance Discount, Not in Group
Hi Jamie,
This is potentially a very big problem. It's better to have the right insurance in place, at a slightly higher premium, than cheap insurance that does not (potentially) pay out at time of claim.
