experience AND CHILD SUPPORT
by ANDY
(Toronto Canada)
I received my license in 1978. I lost my license due to non payment of child support(not drinking and driving ,or killing anyone,or anything you can dream up) in 2003. I redid all the required tests and passed, and now have my full G license once more. Are there "ANY" Insurance company's that are mindful of this ,and as such, offer REASONABLE auto coverage?? PLEASE help all of us in this predicament.

High Rates due to Suspended License
I gather your license was suspended in 2003 and you only recently got it back? The bad news is that insurers can rate for suspensions over 1 year. The good news is that every year your rates will get better. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, you make a very valid point that the suspension does not relate to your driving.
One thing you can do is be aggressive about shopping around. One place to do it is here:
