everyone in my household need to be insured under my auto insurance

I have been told that my insurance company is demanding that everyone in my household that has a valid Ontario auto license must be covered under my policy even if they are not related to me and/or their own insurance even if they are not allowed to drive my car.

Most insurers do this and it can be very frustrating in certain circumstances.

Some insurers will allow you to not list the other drivers as long as there is proof that they have insurance elsewhere.
