DUI someone else driving my vehicle occasionally
I was recently convicted of a DUI and license will be suspended for 3 months(reduced suspension)...I have a friend who has offered to give me a lift in my car occasionally. Is there anything I should tell my insurance company, and also I am wondering if I should volunteer my DUI to the insurance company or let them find out on their own accord. If I don't tell them will I still be covered if something were to happen?
DUI and Lending a Car
The person you lend your car to should be added as a driver to your policy. This means that you should have a discussion with your insurer about the situation.
