Driving without insurance
by Amy
(Toronto, Ontario)
What would happen if a person, not covered under any insurance policy, is driving a car that is insured and gets stopped by the police?
Would it affect the person at all? And would the police even know?
Driving Without Insurance
Hi Amy,
Yes, it would affect the person. It is an offense that can carry a fine of $25,000. Police watch for this.
