Driving with no insurance
(Niagara, Ontario, Canada)
I have my G2, but I'm uninsured. Would I be able to drive like when i had my G1 if a family member who's had their license for over 5 years?
Driving Without Car Insurance in Ontario
If you own a car and are driving it without insurance you are going to face severe consequences when you are caught.
That said, if you don't own a car, but live with your parents, they need to add you to their policy ASAP or risk problems at time of claim.
If you live on your own, and someone gives you permission to drive their insured car, then that should be fine so long as you follow all the rules associated with being a G2 driver.
Hope that helps
