Drive Mom's Car

If I have a valid licence but dont own a car can i drive my moms car. The other question is I sold my car a few years ago and cancelled my insurance so am I considered a new driver when I get a new policy?

Your mom can lend you her car as long as it is insured (with liability coverage) and as long as you have a valid license. Keep in mind that she has to give you permission and if you have an accident it could affect her rates and ability to get coverage (especially if you are at fault).

As long as you have had your license the whole time the effect won't be as bad as not having a license. But the gap in coverage could have an impact on your rates with some insurers.
