Does a registered owner of a car have to be the principal driver on the insurance
by Singh
(Hamton. Ontario )
Hi,
I am planning to buy a car for which my mother will be the registered owner. She has a g2 and I have a g license. I was wondering whether I could be the principal driver on the insurance and also whether it is necessary for the registered owner of a car to be included on the insurance given that I will be driving it at all times.
Thank you
Principal driver
Hi Singh,
Who ever is driving the car the most should be the principal driver. The registered owner should be listed as a driver as well. Hope that helps. Please be sure to discuss this further with a licensed insurance representative. Oh, and by the way, are your rates too high? Check here:
