Claims question
by Bob
(T.O.)
I was involved in a single vehicle accident. The damage is around the $1000-2000 range.
The police reported the accident to my insurance company without my knowledge, not sure if that is normally done by them or not? So there is now a claim on file, and I already pay way to much.
I want to do all the repairs myself, can I get the insurance company to drop the claim so my rate doesn't increase?
Ontario Auto Insurance Claims Question
Hi Bob,
Getting a claim that is filed removed from your record is extremely difficult if not impossible. Call them right away and discuss this with the claims adjuster. It's probably a losing battle, but you might as well try.
Sorry, don't want to sugar coat the answer...
