Claim coverage

My son got into a car accident and only has a G1 licence. Does my car insurance cover a claim if I have $500 deductable on collision. The damage was about $2500 to my car with minor damage to the car my son hit.

At fault accidents are covered if there is collision. However, if he was not driving according to the terms of his license (e.g. no driver accompanying him), then the claim might be denied.
