My employer has given me a monthly car allowance for the past 8 years, they now want me to name them on my personal automobile certificate of insurance. Can they force me to do this and what if any is the additional cost or are there other ramifications? eg: if I get into an accident etc. Car Allowance and Certificate of InsuranceWell, they can't force you, but they might stop giving a car allowance if you say no.
