Can my insurance address be different than the one listed on my license?

Hi there,


I recently moved in part time with my boyfriend. Both my license and insurance is under my parents home address, where I have always lived. My insurance is under my mothers, although Im the primary driver on my car. Can the two address be different, or do I need to now change my insurance over? My mom has been paying for it under her blanket policy, and I want to know if I chance my address with the insurance company will I have to start paying my own insurance, or is it still under my mother's policy?

Your drivers license and insurance should both have the same address and that should be where you actually live. You will likely need your own policy when you live on your own. This might mean your rates will be higher. Check here:
