Buying car insurance on borrowed car
by Anon.
Can I buy insurance for a car that is being lent to me?
Car Insurance on Borrowed Vehicle
Hi there,
The insurance is supposed to be purchased by the owner of the vehicle. You do not have an insurable interest in the car but the owner does.
The owner of the car should get the insurance and disclose that you will be the primary driver. You can pay the premiums.
Hope that helps.
